EL MONTE, Calif. — GigaCloud Technology has named industry veterans — Michael Pitman and Scott Hill — as vice presidents of sales, effective immediately.
The company said they report to Larry Wu, CEO, and will be responsible for “advancing GigaCloud’s sales strategy, strengthening strategic partnerships and expanding the company’s presence across the home furnishings market.”
They fill a role previously held by former vice president, sales, John Anderson, who left the company in December.
Pitman has more than 40 years of industry experience and was most recently senior vice president of sales at Magnussen Home Furnishings. Before this, he was vice president of sales at Nourison Home.

He also previously worked for more than 15 years at Ashley Furniture, as senior vice president of sales.
Before this, he was CEO of case goods manufacturer Durham Furniture and previously was vice president of sales at Schnadig Furniture. Earlier in his career, he was vice president of sales at Lexington Furniture Industries and also was previously an independent sales rep at Lexington and HickoryCraft.

Hill has more than 30 years of experience in the home furnishings industry and for more than 15 years has headed up sales for New Classic Furniture, which GigaCloud purchased for $18 million earlier this month. As part of his sales role, he also has overseen marketing and product strategy.
Before this, he was vice president of sales at Ashley Furniture and previously was a retail sales manager at Furniture Liquidators.
“Michael and Scott each bring industry expertise and leadership experience that align well with our priorities,” said Larry Wu, founder and chief executive officer of GigaCloud. “We are pleased to welcome them to the team as we continue to grow the business and support our partners across different markets.”
; we had a gentleman whose name is John Anderson who used to be in this position but left the company.
You are correct that both Scott and Michael report to me. In Giga, we don’t have a clear territory focus for the sales function. But it is going to be a natural outcome that they will have their own customers and product line preferences.
Please let me know if you have any further question. Have a great weekend!
