HIGH POINT, N.C. — Mateo De Lisa has officially joined Lineage Collections, stepping into a newly created role in business development as part of the company’s continued growth and commitment to building deeper partnerships with its retail network.
Mateo is the son of company President Chris De Lisa, marking the next generation of leadership in this furniture enterprise.

Mateo brings both industry exposure and a fresh perspective. Over the years, he gained hands-on experience through internships at Universal Furniture, Magnuson Showroom and Furnitureland South — where he participated in one of the industry’s most respected sales training programs.
“This industry is built on family — and nowhere is that truer than in furniture retail,” said Chris De Lisa. “Mateo grew up around this business, and now he’s not just entering it — he’s elevating it. His excitement, his knowledge of digital tools and his ability to connect with our partners make him an incredible asset right out of the gate.”
In his new role, Mateo will serve as a liaison between sales reps and retailers, ensuring seamless communication, enhanced product training and stronger day-to-day support. With a focus on four key markets — North Carolina, New York, Michigan and Indiana — he will work closely with Lineage reps in the field to support retailers through store visits, staff education and real-time problem-solving.
“Most reps today carry multiple lines,” Chris noted. “To become vital to their success, we need to be more than a brand — we need to be a resource. Mateo helps us do that. He’ll be the eyes, ears and voice of our company on the ground, making sure our retailers have everything they need to sell with confidence.”
Mateo will support all of the Lineage brands, including Sea Winds Trading (casual coastal), Finn & Louise, Lux Lighting and a dedicated Contract Division for hospitality clients.
“We’re growing fast, and Mateo’s role is a direct response to that growth,” said Chris. “More than anything, it’s about sustainability — making sure our retailers are not just excited about our products but consistently supported in selling them.”
The support for Mateo’s entrance into the business has already been felt across the industry. After attending the recent Furniture First Symposium alongside his father, where nearly 100 family-owned retailers gathered, Mateo was warmly welcomed and encouraged.
“The industry showed up for him,” Chris said. “And now he’s ready to show up for the industry.”
