Although no injuries or incidents have occurred, the agency said they pose tip-over risks that can harm children
WASHINGTON — The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission announced two recalls in January involving more than 5,000 clothing storage units sold on Amazon that pose a tip-over and entrapment hazard that can harm children.
While no incidents or injuries have been reported, the agency said the units also violate the federal safety standard mandated by the STURDY Act and can be dangerous if not anchored to the wall.

The largest of these involves 4,155 Vasicar 19-drawer chests featuring collapsible fabric drawers. Made in China, the units were sold on Amazon.com from September 2025 through November 2025 for about $120.
The agency said the units were sold in black, white, gray and mixed colors. They also have a metal frame, a wooden top and 18 collapsible fabric drawers. They measure 37.8 inches long by 11.8 inches wide by 57.1 inches tall, and some of the units have “VR-US18D-Black,” “VR-US18D-White,” “VR-US18D-Gray” and “VR-US18D-Mixed” printed on the packaging.
The CPSC also has advised consumers to immediately stop using these storage pieces if they are not anchored to the wall and move them to an area that children cannot access.
Consumers also can contact Vasicar for instructions on how to dispose of the units in order to receive a full refund. To receive a refund, they must submit a photo to vasicarus2025@outlook.com showing them disposing of the product. They also can contact the company at the same email with additional questions.

The other recall involves 870 six-drawer rattan dressers that the CPSC said are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall and that also violate the mandatory federal standard as required by the STURDY Act.
Also made in China, they were sold on Amazon.com from September 2025 through November 2025 for about $150.
The CPSC said these were made with wood in a natural finish and have six drawers with woven rattan drawer fronts and handles in a gold finish. They measure 43.3 inches by 15.7 inches by 29.5 inches and bear the model number “YD001,” which is on the product packaging.
The agency has advised consumers to immediately stop using the recalled dressers, if they are not anchored to the wall and move them to an area children cannot access.
To receive a full refund, they also should write “RECALLED” on the front, side and back with permanent marker, take photos and email them to FUQARHYrecall@outlook.com. Consumers also have been advised to dispose of the recalled product in accordance with state and local waste disposal procedures.
For additional information, they should contact the company at the email shown above.
For retailers and suppliers, these and other similar recalls communicate that the CPSC is closely monitoring which companies are abiding by the STURDY Act. Those who don’t face a recall or worse still, an incident in which the product they are selling harms a child or adult.
