Buyers will find a more extensive offering of products during the latest iteration of the digital market showcase
HIGH POINT — As dealers take part in Lifestyle Enterprise’s second annual Hsieh Days digital buying event this week they will find a wider selection of products with values across major categories.
In addition to the company’s core bedroom and dining segments, the offerings include stationary and motion upholstery along with its newest massage chair category.
In total, the company is offering 39 product groups this year, up from eight during the debut of the event last year. The company said the expansion was a request from retailers “who used this site as a virtual marketplace and needed a larger assortment of values.”
There are 11 bedrooms, 13 dining sets, seven upholstery groups and eight bunk beds.
Also among the new offerings this time around is the Zen Motion chair, which the company said “looks like a recliner but functions like a state-of-art massage chair. We have incorporated a 3D roller mechanism into these chairs which is a major improvement to the air bags currently on the market.” Three models are available.
Perhaps the biggest value of all is a complete home package that includes a five-piece bedroom, dining table and four chairs and a sofa being offered at $399 fob.
Other highlights include:
+ A new expandable table and bench that the company describes as “one of the hottest values on the internet.”
+ Mixability on various categories, plus added values in bedroom, dining, bunk beds and upholstery.
“Lifestyle believes that the Hsieh Days event presents an alternative to the cost of traditional markets,” said CEO Michael Hsieh. “Nothing takes away from the importance of a market, but the question is always how many markets are necessary. A virtual market is a great complement to the two major High Point markets and gives retailers a winter market without the costs of travel and also the time commitment of visiting a market. The technology is here today to enable change, and Lifestyle is experiencing success in embracing the opportunities of doing something different.”
The event, which opened to registered dealers on Monday, runs through Feb. 4.
