Jacksonville Furniture Mart names Sarah Cantor president

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Sarah Cantor has been named president of retailer Jacksonville Furniture Mart, marking yet another milestone in her more than 30-year career at the family-owned business.

She joined the company in August 1992 as a design coordinator and manager, a role she had for nearly 23 years. She also has been a senior designer and manager for her overall 33 and a half years with the company and also has served as a corporate officer for the past seven years.

She was named president earlier this month.

Having been in business since 1946, the retailer is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. It carries a wide mix of well-known brands in case goods and upholstery including Stickley, Hooker Furnishings, Lexington Home Brands, Canadel, Hancock & Moore, CR Laine, Bernhardt, Hickory Chair, Palliser, Riverside and others.

It also has a team of design consultants and interior designers that provide professional design services to clients in and outside the Jacksonville, Florida, market.
