Russet features 14 configurations that can be shipped in individual small parcels
NEW YORK — Direct-to-consumer furniture resource and retailer Burrow has launched Russet, its latest modular seating collection featuring 14 configurations offering deep and multilayer cushioning.
Made in Vietnam, the configurations make the collection suitable for any space, ranging from apartments and condos to larger single-family homes.
Shipped in individual small parcel boxes, the configurations range from two- and three-piece sofas and three- and four-piece sectionals to larger footprints including seven-piece corner sectionals and eight-piece U-shaped sectionals. It also includes an individual armchair and ottoman.
As with its other collections, Russet features the following highlights, including:
+ A modular design that the company said “easily reconfigures or expands as your space and lifestyle change.”
+ Deep, cloudlike comfort that has been engineered to keep its shape over time.
+ Four durable, stain-resistant fabrics to suit any home aesthetic.
The pieces can be purchased online in any of the four performance fabrics, which include a light gray chenille called Crushed Gravel; a light beige chenille called Georgia Clay, a performance flat weave called Moss Green and a performance flat weave called Navy Blue.
“Russet is our most comfortable collection ever,” company senior strategy manager Elizabeth Telford told Home News Now. “It’s deep, cushy and designed for true lounging, but it’s engineered to always hold its shape. We focused on creating a seat that’s as visually refined as it is inviting, with multilayer cushioning and structure that never looks sloppy. Russet is modular, like every Burrow sofa, but brings a new level of plushness and lounge-worthiness to the line, while maintaining the signature versatility and easy assembly people expect from Burrow.”

A full view of the various items and configurations — including the product shown in either silos or in lifestyle settings — can be seen here along with pricing. Three- and five-year protection packages can also be added to the total along with assembly based on the customer’s location.
Shipping times on most items shown on the company website range from seven to nine weeks.
On its site, the company describes Russet as its “Deepest, most expansive collection yet — with oversized proportions that redefine lounging. Multilayer cushioning delivers cloudlike comfort that keeps its shape, no fluffing required. Fully modular and easy to configure, it’s built to evolve with you for years to come.”
Founded in 2016 by Stephen Kuhl and Kabeer Chopra, the company started with upholstery, but expanded to other categories including dining, bedroom, office and outdoor furniture. It also sells shelf units as well as media consoles and credenzas. A core tenet of the company’s business philosophy is to address various pain points for the consumer.
In addition to providing easy tool-free assembly and shipping, whereby the products ship in small parcel format, the company touts its use of durable materials, including performance fabrics that are stain-resistant and pet-friendly and also provide comfort with its use of thick cushions and sturdy frames.
Russet is available online at burrow.com and in the company’s New York and Chicago store locations. It debuted online on Nov. 5.
