AMES, Iowa — Just in time for Black Friday deals, Furniture Mart is ready to open at 329 SE 5th Street, between Target and Walmart, in southeast Ames. At 91,000 square feet, Furniture Mart offers the largest selection of home furnishings in central Iowa and is the first full-service furniture store to open in Ames in more than two decades.
“We know there has been great anticipation in the community and we are eager to open,” said Bryan Whitt, Furniture Mart store manager in Ames. “Our selection is amazing, so we encourage people to check us out with the chance to win a home makeover package valued at $10,000.”
Furniture Mart offers what it described as “an unmatched inventory and selection of top-quality furniture and mattress brands such as Ashley, La-Z-Boy, Flexsteel, England, Purple, Beautyrest, Tempurpedic, and the newest collection from Joybird.” Furniture Mart will employ about 20 people in sales, warehouse, and design services.
