Legacy Classic | Modern launches new Vietnam mixed container program

HIGH POINT — Legacy Classic | Modern has launched a new mixed container program out of Vietnam. Using a state-of-the-art, humidity-controlled distribution center in the heart of Vietnam’s furniture manufacturing hub, this program will enable customers to combine multiple collections from different factories into a single container, providing greater flexibility and efficiency.

Chris Pelcher, president of Legacy, said, “We’ve long offered mixed container options both at the individual factory level and, of course, through our domestic warehouse — a solution that’s worked well for many of our retail partners. By adding this new program, we’re now able to extend these benefits across a broader range of our brands and products, delivering even more value and convenience to our customers.”

Before making the final decision, Legacy spent a good amount of time getting feedback from its current customer base through surveys and phone interviews.

“The response was overwhelmingly positive,” said Pelcher, giving Legacy the confidence to move forward quickly. “This is all about making it easier for our retail partners to do business with us and help them manage their inventory better. Our goal is to remove as many potential barriers as possible, particularly when macro business conditions are challenging. “Having the right inventory in the right place at the right time is crucial.”

The new offering reflects broader shifts in the global furniture supply chain, as brands seek ways to increase agility, reduce warehousing costs and provide retailers of all sizes with tailored logistics solutions.
