by HICKORY – Building on the success of its Bedroom by Design program launched in April 2025, Sherrill Furniture will launch its latest domestic case goods offering, Custom Cabinets by Design, at the upcoming High Point Market.
Handcrafted in Hickory, North Carolina, the customizable cabinetry program offers a tailored approach to functional storage and design, combining the beauty of handcrafted furniture with the flexibility of personalized configuration. The program will make its official debut at the Sherrill Furniture showroom, located at 315 Fred Alexander Place in High Point.
“With Custom Cabinets by Design, we’re responding to recent market shifts and research insights that highlighted a gap in the cabinetry category,” said Dax Allen, senior vice president, business development for Sherrill Furniture. “We recognized an opportunity to deliver a domestic program that combines quality, customization, and value, particularly as retailers navigate shifts in global supply chains and rising import costs. Our factory team in Hickory has developed a program designed to fill
those gaps and help our customers meet consumers’ needs.”
Developed through extensive market research and direct feedback from retailers, interior designers, and design professionals, Custom Cabinets by Design was created to deliver premium storage solutions for a wide range of residential, commercial, and hospitality applications. The program meets the growing need for cabinetry that merges practical functionality with elevated design across diverse spaces, including media rooms, home and commercial offices, dining areas, craft spaces, vacation rentals, as
well as conference rooms and hospitality environments where coffee, wine bar, or refrigeration setups add both function and style.

Highlights of the program’s customization options include a range of door and drawer front styles, glass and fretwork accents, and premium hardware in nine finish options. Wood or stone tops and more than 50 finishes from the full Sherrill Furniture palette, plus color matching, provide near-limitless design flexibility. Additional features such as Customers Own Hardware (COH), integrated LED lighting, wine and stemware storage, refrigeration bases, and multiple storage and filing configurations further expand the program’s versatility.
