In this first installment of our fall edition of Consumer Insights Now, sponsored by Bread Financial, we asked consumers about their thoughts about economic conditions. Fielded among 1,200 male and female consumers ages 18-79 across a mix of generations, ethnicities and household incomes, it gauges their reaction to a host of issues ranging from how tariffs and other economic factors are impacting their decision to buy. A key takeaway is that more than 75% of those surveyed see the economy as fair or poor, which could impact their decision to buy furniture in the coming weeks and months. On a positive note, it also indicates that while some are planning to delay their purchases, interest remains high in quality goods along with made in America products.
