PICO RIVERA, Calif. — Full-line furniture resource AICO has named Tammy Hein as director of design and development for soft goods, reporting to Michael Amini, chief executive officer, and David Koehler, president.
Hein has more than two decades of leadership in the furniture and design industry, with expertise spanning product design, merchandising, sales and operations.
As an interior designer, she has led her own firm, Hein Design, over the past 25 years and also worked at EJ Lauren for more than 12 and a half years as executive vice president of sales and merchandising and as director of design and development.

The company added that “she has successfully overseen design and development from concept to launch, negotiated with global vendors and guided cross-functional teams in design, research, customer service, purchasing and sales. Her work has consistently resulted in innovative product introductions, enhanced operational efficiency and stronger customer relationships.”
At AICO, she will lead the design and development of top-of-bed, pillows and upholstery collections, working in close collaboration with Michael Amini as lead designer, also assisting in the creation of new case goods, “ensuring cohesive style stories and distinctive quality across categories.”
“Tammy brings a rare blend of creativity and technical knowledge,” Amini said. “Her eye for textiles and her instinct for what customers love will help us craft soft-goods collections that feel luxurious, live beautifully and complement our case goods with purpose. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the AICO family.”
“She brings a wealth of experience in product design and development with proven success and execution in the home furnishings space,” Koehler added. “Her expertise will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen and expand our soft goods division. Tammy’s addition to AICO highlights our commitment to design and development as a central driver of growth and long-term success.”
