If not anchored to the wall, these units pose a tip-over/entrapment hazard that can harm children
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of 3,500 chests sold on Amazon that pose a tip-over and entrapment hazard that can injure and possibly kill children.

The recall involves the Lulive 12-drawer dressers made by Changzhou Hengze Home Furnishing Co. of China and sold on Amazon from March 2025 through June 2025 for between $90 and $100.
While no incidents or injuries have been reported, the agency said that the units are unstable if not anchored to the wall, which can result in a serious tip-over and/or entrapment hazard. The CPSC also said that they violate the mandatory standard required by the STURDY Act.
While most retailers are buying product that complies with STURDY (Stop Tip-Overs of Unstable Risky Dressers on Youth), the recall reminds them they need to continue to check with suppliers or source factories that units are compliant. Otherwise, they could find themselves selling dangerous product from their own floors.
The Lulive chests are described as having a metal frame and a wood top and 12 collapsing and different size fabric drawers with handles. Sold in a white finish, they are 45 inches tall, 39 inches wide and 12 inches deep and weigh about 30 pounds. They also feature four side pockets and two hoods, with “KF-X9Y1” printed on the product packaging.
The CPSC said that consumers should stop using the recalled dressers immediately if they are not anchored to the wall. They also should place them in an area children cannot access.
For a full refund, consumers can contact Lulive for instructions on how to dispose of the dressers. To receive the refund, they also must submit a photo showing disposal of the product to lulive12recall@sina.com.
