EASLEY, S.C. — Broad River Retail, one of the nation’s largest independently owned and operated Ashley Store licensees, is expanding in Upstate South Carolina, announcing a new two-in-one Ashley Store and Outlet coming to Easley. The store is expected to open in December.
“Bringing Ashley to Easley marks another meaningful step in Broad River’s continued growth and our commitment to furnishing life’s best memories for our guests across South Carolina and the Upstate,” said Charlie Malouf, Broad River Retail chief executive officer. “Easley is experiencing a surge in population growth and has become a vibrant retail destination. Our new store will be right in the heart of Easley’s shopping district, making it easy for guests to find us and enjoy everything Ashley has to offer.”
Easley will feature the newest Ashley 7.0 store design, an Ashley Outlet and an expanded Sleep Shop. The 7.0 design features a bright, open layout with complete lifestyle vignettes that make it easy for guests to imagine new collections in their own homes. The Sleep Shop will offer more than 40 mattresses from top brands, including Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster, Purple, Sealy, Nectar and Ashley Sleep. Guests can also explore Ashley’s full range of home furnishings, including bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, youth collections, accents, lighting and accessories.

“This new store builds on our strong presence in the Upstate and marks our fifth location in the region,” said Manny Rodrigues, president and chief operating officer of Broad River Retail. “We believe every home has a story, and we’re honored to help the Easley community create theirs. Our goal is to inspire, encourage and support our guests to create spaces where life’s best memories are made.”
The Easley location will be Broad River Retail’s 35th store overall and 10th in South Carolina.
Located at 5155 Calhoun Memorial Highway in the Easley Village Shopping Center, the new 41,479-square-foot dual-concept Ashley replaces the former Bargain Hunt. The company operates nearby Ashley retail locations in Anderson, Greenville, Greenwood and Spartanburg, as well as an Ashley distribution center in Spartanburg.
“The Spartanburg Memory Makers are excited to showcase our industry-leading customer experience and home delivery service,” said Tim Clouse, senior vice president of operations.
The Easley store will employ Memory Makers across leadership, sales, operations and visual merchandising roles. Candidates interested in joining the Easley team can visit broadriverretail.com/careers.
“We’re looking for Memory Makers who bring passion, purpose and care to everything they do,” said Stacey McCormick, executive vice president of retail performance. “We are excited to build a talented team that will help us grow and thrive in Easley.”
