Agency says the 12-drawer chests pose a tip-over and entrapment hazard that can injure or kill children
WASHINGTON — The United States Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of about 6,000 chests sold on Amazon that pose a tip-over and entrapment hazard.
While there have been no incidents or injuries reported, the agency said that the 12-drawer YaFiti white dressers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, which can cause tip-overs and entrapment hazards that can result in injuries or death to children. The CPSC also said the units violate the federal standard as required by the STURDY (Stop Tip-Overs of Unstable Risky Dressers on Youth) Act.

The recall aims to alert consumers as well as furniture retailers, importers and manufacturers about clothing storage units in the marketplace that are considered unstable and a danger to children and others in the household.
The recall involves the YaFiti 12-drawer white chests, which measure about 39 inches long, 12 inches wide and 45 inches high. The model number HI1318_02 is printed on the outer packaging box of the product.
Made in China by Shenzhen Leader Union Technology Co. Ltd., they were sold on Amazon from September 2023 through March 2025 for about $95.
The CPSC has advised consumers to immediately stop using the recalled units if they are not properly anchored to a wall and place them in an area that children cannot access.
To receive a refund, consumers can contact YaFiti for instructions on how to dispose of the units. They also must submit a photo of the disposed chest.
YaFiti and Amazon also are contacting all known purchasers directly.
For more information, consumers can contact YaFiti toll-free at 877-452-4067 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, or email at Yafitiservice@outlook.com. Or they can visit https://yafiti.com/pages/recall or https://yafiti.com and click “Recall” at the top of the page.
