Company recently bolstered its line with the Kyvos brand launched at the April High Point Market
HIGH POINT — With the launch of its newest brand at the spring High Point Market, Linon Home Décor is also expanding its upholstery footprint and making the category a more important segment of its business.
The company’s new Kyvos brand, which is the Greek word for cube, was unveiled at market as the company announced the North American licensing of eight U.S. patents from Modular Seating Solutions.
The line, which was launched by brothers Matthew and Jordan Milberg in April 2023 after several years of development, includes indoor and outdoor sofas, sectionals and chairs that can be put together within minutes from individual components including seats, backs, arms and cushions.

In addition to quick assembly, it ships in small parcels, making it easy to move and configure into homes of any size.
“In some ways, it is limitless in terms of what we can do with it,” Linon Home Decor President and CEO Jim Ziozis told Home News Now at the April market, adding that the company researched a number of similar modular concepts before deciding on this particular model. “This is the best system I found and that I was perfectly willing to put in the effort and come up with the money to license the patents. And the number of patents is growing.”
He added that the response at market was particularly strong with its customer base.
“There has not been a retailer, whether it’s an e-commerce player or a brick player that has just not said, ‘Oh my God, we’ve got to get this.’” he said of the line. “Most of the retailers that we have talked to have committed to various sizes and various configurations.”

Available direct container and through the company’s East and West Coast warehouses, the line offers 84-inch sofas that can retail around $799 and a five-piece sectional that can retail from $1,299 to $1,499, both out of the domestic warehouses.
This latest development adds to a line of seating that previously included accent chairs, benches and ottomans offered under the Linon brand.
This has since expanded to motion upholstery items offered by Linon and sister company Powell Home Fashions. The company purchased the initial SKUs in the line from discounted inventory available from the November 2022 United/Lane bankruptcy. It has since added new recliners and motion sofas and sectionals to the mix, also available via direct container and from the company’s domestic warehouses.
With the new modular seating line, upholstery could grow to as much as 25% of its business, Ziozis said, noting that it started from a very small number with its accent seating line.
“This is pure net growth,” he said, adding that the company’s recent acquisition of various assets of Coast to Coast also is fueling growth companywide. “We are not backing down from any opportunities.”
Modular Seating Solutions co-founder Jordan Milberg said the company is pleased to be partnering with Linon, as he believes it “has the infrastructure to support what’s required for a program like this.”
“There hasn’t been a customer that has walked in that we have presented this to who told us they are not interested,” Milberg told Home News Now during the April market. “Every single customer Jimmy has had has been on board.”
Thus, Milberg believes the first 18 months of sales “will be significant.” He also noted that Modular Seating Solutions “will support them wherever they require support. And to help them understand the program, and how it works, who it works for and why it works. It’s not just modular KD furniture. It is fully assembled, full-sized furniture that has the proper seat height, the proper pitch that sits well and is scalable to anything your customer requires. … There are huge opportunities.”
