A key takeaway from the discussion deals with the importance of partnerships with customers despite any short-term challenges facing the industry, including tariffs. One example of this is the company’s pledge to cover the costs of tariffs for the first six months they are in place. While frustrated by the possibility of having to do this, he said, protecting dealers from those increased costs is one way to keep its partnerships with U.S. customers healthy now and in the future. “I really don’t want to have dealers feel that pain and would just like to be able to do business as usual.”

Another key element in such an uncertain environment, he said, is the ability to pivot as quickly as possible for the benefit of the company and its customers.
