NEW YORK – Meridian Furniture, a fast-growing brand known for its vast selection of high-style, affordably priced designs, is expanding its business in the Florida vacation home and hospitality market through a partnership with Hudson’s Vacation Interiors, a leading design firm and division of the Hudson’s Furniture store chain in Central Florida’s vacation hub.
Founded in 2001, the design firm specializes in turnkey vacation home interior design and furnishings packages for residential and hospitality properties across Florida. Ranging from individual vacation homes to large-scale hospitality developments, the firm is responsible for numerous projects at upscale Orlando resort ChampionsGate, Eden Garden Villas and Windsor Cay near Disney World, where Meridian’s modern style and quality hold high appeal for Hudson’s clients coming from out of town.
“What sets Meridian apart is that its products are modern in style, well-crafted and offered at excellent price points,” said Hazel Carver, operations lead at Hudson’s Vacation Interiors. “There’s also great brand recognition: Many of our clients who hail from New York and New Jersey are already very familiar with the brand and request Meridian products for their Florida vacation homes.”
Yet for Carver, it’s Meridian’s service and responsiveness that won Hudson’s Vacation Interiors’ business, which now extends to the parent Hudson’s Furniture, a leading furniture chain with more than 15 Florida-based stores.
“The interesting thing is that we started working with Meridian as a supplier and were so impressed, we introduced them to the furniture chain’s buyer about two years ago,” Carver said. “Buying furniture is a lot like buying a car. Every so often you wind up with a lemon, and how that’s handled is really the true test of a brand.
“The fact is, we can buy from anywhere, but the thing we like about working with Meridian is that if there is ever a problem, I can be on the phone with the president of the company, Michael Rosilio, getting it solved within minutes,” Carver said. “It’s wonderful to work with a company and executive team who understand the pressure that the design team is under to complete projects, because frankly, there are a lot of furniture companies that don’t. They figure they sold the product, and their job is done.”
“Florida is a key growth market for us, especially in the hospitality and vacation rental sectors,” Rosilio said. “We’ve built strong relationships with designers and retailers by being reliable, responsive and focused on design. Our growing partnership with Hudson’s Vacation Interiors and the larger Hudson’s Furniture chain reflects how we’re expanding through collaborations that prioritize quality, service and quick turnaround. We’re proud to be a partner our clients can count on to provide what they need.”
According to Carver, Meridian’s style offering is on trend and appeals to a wide range of client tastes in the marketplace. “Style preferences throughout Florida have changed in the last few years, moving away from the white lacquer looks that have largely run their course. From beds to dining furniture, Meridian’s contemporary designs are just what our clients are looking for, coupled with price points that don’t require a king’s ransom for quality that will last. Our clients and customers are thrilled, while we are able to drive business and make our margins.”
Rosilio continued, “Designers work in a fast-paced world where every detail matters. Our goal is to make their jobs easier by offering a wide range of modern styles, competitive pricing and in-stock products we can deliver fast.”
