HIGH POINT – Now that we’ve run the full national survey, our Consumer Insights Now research dives into five distinct regions of the country: the Northeast, South Atlantic, East/West South Central, Midwest and West.
We debut the first of these regional reports with the Northeast, which covers Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. As with our national survey, the research is wide ranging, covering a host of topics including what types of products customers plan to buy in the second half, along with where they plan to buy these products
— inside a store or online — and where they begin their search for products.
Other topics covered include factors that drive the buying decision such as price and style, and where customers go for design inspiration, including an overview of social media resources they frequent. The survey also looks at style preferences in the region, the types of features customers look for by category, the types of mattresses they are in the market for and which rooms rank highest in terms of redecorating.
A key goal is to provide wholesalers and retailers alike information they can use to make informed business decisions. We hope you find these and other aspects of our Northeast survey useful to your own business for the rest of the year and beyond.
